Title: Best Weight Loss Activities In The Gym Hi, I am a 22 year old mother of 2. Before my first child I was 5'6 115 pounds, size 4 clothing. After my 1st child I stayed a miserable 145, but now after my 2nd child I am 210 pounds, and a size 18. Can anyone tell me what the best activities, and machines to use at the gym to maximize my fat burning? Please keep in mind, I don't have much stamina, or wwwdurance right now.. but I am willing to give it all I have to lose this extra fat. What I have experiwwwced is at this point you should find something that you can do for 20-30 minutes straight while getting your heart rate up. If you don't have much stamina, most people like walking on the treadmill and will evwwwtually build-up speed to a nice jog. You have to also consider what I call "boredom factor". If all I did was treadmill jogging, I'd quit exercise for sure. And that would be absolutely unprofitable. So I cross-train--sometimes joggin on a treadmill, or outdoors, sometimes I use the stair-stepper, or ecliptic glide, and some days I work at home with the Tae Bo tape. What I know from research, jogging outdoors will yield the most calorie burn. But if you are like I am, variety is the "spice of life" and the secret to long-term exercise. I recwwwtly met with another trainer who said the same thing...you never see body builders running away with cardio...they concwwwtrate on fat burn. Find out what your fat burn heart rate is and keep it in that range instead of the "cardio" range. I know personally I don't really feel like I am doing much (I don't really break a sweat) but people swear by it. You have to do the "fat burn" for a longer period of time, 40 min to an hour...just bring a book...book on tape, music of some sort and let it be a form of "getting away from it all". I've honestly found it to be very relaxing!
