Title: HUGE QUADS!!!!

I don't know how to make my legs any thinner! I am 5'4 127 and wear a size 6 but my quads are huge. I have have do cardio for 45 min 3-4 days a week. I use then lipictical machine or bikes. I train my legs 2 day a week. I do moderate circuit weight training with high reps. I eat good and just can seem to minmize the size of my quads. Any suggestions?

    Pick your parents! You have a hereditary thing to either have large quad muscles or to store fat in that location, or a combination of both. The only solution is to reduce your overall body fat level, although that may be the last place you see a reduction and you may have to reduce your body fat level to a dangerously low level to see any significant change in that location. I know that is not the answer you wanted to hear, but that is the sad truth.

    Funny thing...I was just about to post the same problem looking for some solutions to the large quad problem myself. I will agree with Dave in saying that genetics plays a big role in this. Ever since I can remember, I've had legs like a race horse...very, very muscular. I've tried to minimize my leg "weight workouts" to only once a week or once every two weeks and just upped my cardio. And when I did do my leg workouts I did the light weight/high rep thing too. That seemed to help slim down my muscular quads and hamstrings a bit, but not as slim as I would like them. Anybody else have any suggestions other than telling us to lower our body fat level? I realize I have my parents to thank for this too, but any other suggestions? Thanks.

      You said when you did a leg work out once every 2 weeks and then you just did cardio and you saw some results. This would take time to get the result that you are looking for probably. If you want to try do 1 leg workout very light with 3 sets. And just keep up with the cardio. I hope this helps.
