I am interested in getting certified to be a personal trainer. I was going to go through the ACE-- is this a reputable council to go through or are there better ones?

There are better ones. The NSCA and ACSM are the best in the nation. ACE is decent but not nearly as respectable as the two listed above. Most of the other certifications are garbage.
