Title: I Need Help With Peck Exercises

I am 15 years old and very big into body building. I have a great six-pack and arms but not the chest to match. I do push ups that target the chest area and work with weights but Ihave yet to see any real results.Am I not building my chest up do to age or just ingnorance of better exercises that target the chest more effciently?

    you should actually not be training so hard. at the age of 15 you're still growing. training at such a high level as you stated, your muscles will tighten and give your bones less room to grow. in other words you'll stay short.

    however if u back up the sport and just train a bit (not at max performance) and wait till your 18/19 and train full then, you'll get very large (broad).


    anyway's with that out of the way, down to bussines. what kind of chest do u want? bulky. Try doing the chestpress with your hands moving towards the center (infront of you)

    you want somewhat more defined chest (not only the center muscle) try benchpressing (or chestpressing with the hands further from each other)

    you want to have those lower chest muscles (to give u that arnold "the terminater" look)try the diagonal benchpress (with your head down)

    do you want to train your upperchest muscles try doing the diagonal benchpress (with your head up).


    now remember, alot of weight less reps means bulking up.
    less weight alot of reps means toning.

    You have to mix up your
    training. I am 190lbs, and
    press 310, you will too. You
    will need a spotter. Plan to
    spend 45 minutes on chest
    each session. every 5 days
    or so. Remember if you
    dont hurt for a couple of
    days after words, your not
    growing. Every 3rd session
    you should max out
    (pyramid) . All other
    sessions do a variety of
    chest exersises, including
    bench and
    dumbells(incline/flat/declin
    e), cable flies. Focus on the
    pecs, as in think about
    them as you train, and
    when they are hot feeling,
    thats when your really
    hitting them. Remember, if
    your not sore for at least two
    days after, your wasting
    your time. oh yeah, eat at
    least 1 gram of protein/lean
    body mass/day. I eat two
    shakes each day, and
    always make sure to get
    180 grams. Good luck.
