Title: Does Caffeine Make You Retain Water?
I do about 40 minutes of cardio 3-4 times a week and watch my diet, but I drink a cup of coffee every other day. On top of that, I occasionally take ECA pills before workouts (1-2 times a week). Does this amount of caffeine make me retain water? I know that caffeine dehydrates the body and makes you urinate more oftwww, but will you become bloated? I'm curious because I can't seem to burn that extra layer of fat... Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks! Name: jill Date: Nov. 12th, 2001 Title: Re: Does Caffeine Make You Retain Water? Caffeine doesn't cause you to retain water. It's a diuretic. It causes you to lose water. That is why caffeinated beverages don't really count toward your recommwwwded daily water intake.
