Exercise: Lateral Dumbbell Raises


This exercise can be done in the gym or at home.


Show Individual Steps

  • 1 Stand with your feet hip width apart, back straight, knees slightly bent. Arms should be beside the body.
  • 2 Slowly raise the dumbbells out to the sides without shrugging your shoulders.
  • 3 Note: Lift your arms only to just above horizontal, not past shoulder height.

    Slowly lower your arms back to the starting position. Repeat 10 - 12 times.
